What we do
Each Blueprint client has a dedicated federally licensed tax professional zealously represent them before the IRS, getting them the best outcome possible within the rules and regulations of the IRS. IRS notices for back taxes can be stressful and confusing. Don’t let it overwhelm you. We can help.
Installment Agreements
A payment plan with the IRS to pay a tax balance over time in monthly amounts rather than in a lump sum.
Currently Not Collectible Status
IRS designation pausing active collection when a taxpayer’s income barely covers necessary living expenses. Interest and penalties keep accruing; the IRS periodically re-reviews financials.
Penalty Abatements
Requesting removal or reduction of failure-to-file, failure-to-pay, or accuracy penalties, typically via first-time abatement or reasonable cause.
Wage Garnishments
IRS levy on a paycheck where the employer sends a portion directly to the IRS. Resolution work focuses on getting it released and into a different arrangement.
Bank Levies
IRS seizure of funds in a bank account. The bank holds the money for 21 days before remitting, which is the window to act.
Tax Liens
A public legal claim against the taxpayer’s property securing the debt. Affects credit and the ability to sell or refinance. Work involves withdrawal, discharge, or subordination.
Offers in Compromise
Settling the liability for less than the full amount owed, based on the IRS’s calculation of reasonable collection potential. Approval depends on financials, not negotiation skill.
Statute of Limitations Analysis
Determining the collection statute expiration date (generally 10 years from assessment) and identifying events that tolled or extended it.
Audit Defense
Representing the taxpayer through an IRS or state examination, handling document requests, correspondence, and appeals.
Tax Return Preparation
Filing current and delinquent returns. Usually a prerequisite — the IRS won’t grant most resolution options until the taxpayer is in filing compliance.
Bookkeeping Services
Reconstructing and maintaining financial records, often needed to substantiate an audit position, prepare back returns, or support a business installment agreement.
Innocent Spouse
Relief from joint liability on a jointly filed return when the tax understatement was attributable to the other spouse and the requesting spouse didn’t know about it.
